Love to laugh

Home to Woefield was another wonderful selection for the Dwight Foster Public Library’s  Book Discussion group. This book allowed the group to laugh out loud with the characters. It was a delight. This is the author’s first adult novel and it is a winner in my opinion.  In the story we meet Prudence who inherits a property on Vancouver Island.  This is a dream come true for her.  She has always wanted to live off the land….but the reader soon learns that this is a true fixer upper, so are many of the people Prudence encounters in her new home.   Prudence has an amazing ability to see the best in all situations and people.  With her influence and her utter determination Woefield becomes a place filled with hope.  I loved the characters we meet in this book.  Each one has a unique story to tell and the author draws the reader into their lives.  I want more of Woefield and the people who live there.
